Arizona Choral Society
As part of its Educational Component, the Arizona Choral Society (ACS) is committed to involving choral students in its rehearsals and concerts thereby offering them an opportunity to sing and learn from an outstanding conductor, perform major choral works, and sing with a large quality vocal ensemble.
The Scholarship Program has two facets:
All students (high school and college level) do not pay the seasonal registration fee for music, facilities, accompanists, and conductor. They only need to audition with the conductor and fully participate in all rehearsals and seasonal concert.
Each Spring, $500 will be available for one or more high school students. The ACS Board will make the decision of scholarship recipient(s) to be presented each year at the ACS Spring Concert.Eligibility is based on the student’s attendance at fall and spring rehearsals and performing in both the Fall and Spring concerts. If no high school student qualifies, the scholarship could be awarded to a college student.
Awarded scholarship checks will be presented under the following guidelines:
If the student is a high school senior or college student, the award will be given in the student’s name to the institution of higher learning to assist the student in their further education.
If the student is a high school underclassman, the award will be arranged toward private lessons or summer music camp.
The intention of the ACS Board is to further encourage the student in their musical development.
